Food is a pretty wonderful thing (I know I love it, a lot) but it is important to remember that there is a very delicate process that needs to be followed to get those delicious ingredients into our hungry tummies. In order to get the most from our food we need to be handling, preparing, storing, and re-serving it properly!
The National Restaurant Association has devoted an entire website to National Food Safety Month and this year’s theme is “Let it Flow.” The idea of “flow” meaning following our food from receiving to storing, to preparing, and finally serving. On their site you can find activities, videos, and all sorts of other interactive fun to help buff up your food safety skills.
